The Gujarat-based company raises the water in bore wells without electricity

Water is a fundamental resource, and everyone understands its value. Gujarat has witnessed heavy floods and experienced water crises. The major reasons are the water level in bore wells is decreasing, with increasing TDS levels, and meanwhile, bore wells are drying. To bring a solution to all these issues, Amit Doshi, a Managing Director of Vardhman Envirotech, India’s passionate Rainwater harvesting company has designed the best quality filter name “NeeRain” filters, which stores rainwater in the bore wells and maintains it alive. It is a two-stage, ready-to-use device that is maintenance-free and cost-effective.

“NeeRain” filters are designed to prevent water loss, eliminate stagnant impurities, employ a two-stage filtration process, enable live monitoring, and eliminate electricity, maintenance headaches, and recurring costs. It is attached to a pipe that takes rainwater from the roof and channels it to the bore well. The device is a patent-granted one that is 1x1x1.5 feet and can be mounted on the wall of a house or building.

Amit Doshi, a passionate rainpreneur and recipient of awards for conserving rainwater globally is a regular speaker at Vibrant Saurashtra, SteamTech, ECO- Talk by CII, Ambuja Foundation and more. He has been honoured as Climate Crusader, selected as 50 Manufacturing Innovative Leaders, and recognized as GSI Person of the Year for Water Conservation. In addition, his company’s case study was published on UK’s Emrald website.

Amit Doshi, acknowledges, “We noticed that in India, there are an average of 15 to 20% bore wells that run dry during summers. Meanwhile, it is important to store rainwater in bore wells and prevent it from going into drains after it arrives on each roof. So we introduced “NeeRain” filters to make rainwater harvesting easy and affordable to all as possible. It is designed in such a way that non-technical people can also operate it. So far these devices have helped to save 125 crores liters of water and have been installed in over 5,000 habitats in India and exported abroad as well. This device becomes 80 to 85% cheaper than the traditional rainwater harvesting method costs. The cost of the HDPE filter is 2,950, Stainless Steel is 6,500.”
